MarkMonitor Appoints Industry Veteran David Batista As New Senior Vice President of Sales
SAN FRANCISCO, June 4 , 2007 –MarkMonitor®, the global leader in enterprise brand protection, announced David Batista has joined the company as senior vice president of sales, responsible for the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Batista is a security veteran with an extensive background in technology and enterprise sales gained from nearly 30 years of experience in the industry. He will leverage this wide-ranging expertise to lead the MarkMonitor sales teams and further develop the company’s sales strategies.

Batista was formerly the president and chief executive officer of Skybox, a security risk management company. During Batista’s tenure, Skybox was named one of Inc. magazine’s Top 100 fastest growing companies. Prior to Skybox, Batista was the vice president of sales and services at Zone Labs, where he drove sales of the company's enterprise security solution leading up to its acquisition by Check Point Software. He has also held sales leadership positions and significantly contributed to growing revenues at Arcot Systems, Gateway, Lexis-Nexis Inc., Novell Inc. and IBM.
