Kroll Forms Global Strategic Alliance with MarkMonitor Teaming Consulting and Digital Anti-Counterfeiting Services

New York, Sept 19, 2007 Kroll, the world’s leading risk consulting company, announced today that it has formed a strategic alliance with MarkMonitor, the global leader in enterprise brand protection.

The alliance is driven by a worldwide rise in counterfeiting and will assist brandholders in protecting their reputations, revenue and customer trust from this risk. The alliance brings together Kroll’s strengths in investigations and consulting with the core competency of MarkMonitor in securing brand and channels online.

“Our clients rely on the most advanced, effective technology as well as the most experienced and highly trained investigators,” said Andres Antonius, head of Kroll’s Consulting Services Group. “The relationship with MarkMonitor gives us that assurance.”

“The risks that brands face in the physical world have moved online and have grown exponentially due to the global reach, anonymity and business efficiencies of the Internet,” said David Silver, vice president of business development, MarkMonitor. “Effectively stamping out the risks associated with counterfeits and gray market goods on the Internet requires proficiency in both the physical and digital worlds. Combining the cutting-edge expertise of MarkMonitor and Kroll provides a compelling advantage to leading brands worldwide.”

Kroll and MarkMonitor will work together on client assignments, marketing efforts and joint sales. The companies are co-sponsors of the Anti-Counterfeiting & Brand Protection conference, taking place Sept. 17 – 19 at The Westin New York, Times Square.
