The Director of Human Resources will be accountable for all facets of the HR function, providing leadership and direction for a growing, Internet security company. These activities will include, but are not limited to: partnering with the executive team in setting, measuring and managing organization goals for the purpose of achieving or exceeding corporate objectives, optimizing organization design, developing common focus and building teamwork; help foster a corporate culture and environment that inspires and motivates employees and breeds success; implementing management and employee training programs to promote overall employee growth and positively impact corporate performance; and establishing processes for high quality recruitment, selection, orientation and retention of employees. Other responsibilities will include generalist duties within the competencies in employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits design and administration, workers' compensation/ safety, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring an objective HR perspective in managing business problems.
  • Design, plan, implement, monitor and control programs and policies related to effectively managing and support the company’s human resources.
  • Recognize and effectively balance individual interests and needs with those of the broader organization. Manage conflict in a way that maintains the self-esteem of others, the role of the line manager, and resolves issues. Mentor, coach and develop this skill in line managers.
  • Develop manpower planning recruitment/staffing, and retention plans that provide stellar results in a cost effective fashion. Ensure hiring managers and interview teams are well trained and organized to maximize the recruiting efforts and represent best practices.
  • Manage retention process proactively, provide statistical data, trends and recommended solutions.
  • Conduct wage surveys to ensure competitive wage rates taking into account regional wage/ cost of living differentials, and design and implement employee compensation programs (salary, incentive, equity) that reward contribution and results.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and provide effective reporting on employee data (HRIS).
  • Design, deploy and manage full featured, cost effective benefit programs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years Human Resources experience, minimum of 7 years in management/executive role.
  • Highly skilled in all generalist areas including, staffing/employment law, employee relations, training & development, OD/change management, compensation & benefits.
  • Experienced in multi-site & International HR management.
  • Prior experience in high growth, technology company preferred.
