MarkMonitor Security Experts John LaCour and Laura Mather To Speak at Anti-Phishing Working Group 2007 Counter-eCrime Operations Summit

The summit will address operational challenges and the development of common resources for operations personnel, first responders and the forensic artisans who confront ecrime threats daily.
John LaCour will take part in the Take-Down Tall Tale Battle Royale panel alongside security and operational leaders who will exchange insights gained from confronting new technologies and techniques used in cyber crimes. LaCour will share details on his experience combating sophisticated phishing attacks.
Laura Mather will moderate the APWG Policy Round Table discussion, which includes industry professionals from Yahoo!, Microsoft, Wachovia and the FBI. The roundtable will discuss APWG’s Domain Name System Policy Working Group (DNSPWG) report on how the policies and protocols of the domain name system assist phishers and how to use those polices and protocols to counter ecrime.
